AI Bookkeeping.
Automatic transaction classification, receipt parsing, monthly reconciliation, and audit-ready reports — for small businesses that would rather build the business than keep the books. Self-hosted by default; your data never leaves your control.
Bookkeeping is one of those problems that everyone has and no one wants. It is too boring to staff senior, too important to staff junior, and too expensive to outsource by the hour. The result, almost universally, is a backlog that gets worse every month. We built AI Bookkeeping for our own studio first — we needed the books clean every Friday and we refused to spend a day a week on it. It became a product after every client we showed it to asked when they could buy it. It is opinionated, fast, and unapologetic about replacing the parts of accounting that should never have required a human.
Automatic transaction classification
Every bank line gets read, categorised, and matched against your chart of accounts in under a second. The classifier learns your business specifics — the supplier you call "Ben" vs. "Ben Co. LLC" vs. "Benjamin Schwartz" — and keeps them straight.
Receipt + invoice parsing
Forward an email, drop a PDF, snap a photo of a receipt — the system extracts vendor, amount, currency, tax, line items, and attaches them to the matching transaction. No more "I think this was at the Walgreens on Pico".
Monthly reconciliation, automated
At month-end the system reconciles every account, flags the handful of items that need human review, and produces a clean P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow statement. Your accountant signs off in minutes, not hours.
Compliance-ready audit trail
Every classification, every change, every override is logged with who-did-what-when. Pass an audit without rebuilding the year from receipts in a shoebox.
Tax-jurisdiction aware
Sales tax, VAT, GST, multi-state nexus — handled per-business. The system knows whether your Connecticut invoice owes Connecticut sales tax or not, so the report you hand your CPA is the report you mean.
Native integrations
Plaid for banking, Stripe / Square for revenue, QuickBooks and Xero for downstream sync. Or, if you would rather, the system runs entirely on your own infrastructure with no third-party data sharing at all.
